Assistant Spray Foam Technician

Qualifications Required For Consideration
  • General construction, labor, or trades experience, highly prefer insulation and Spray Foam experience
  • Willingness to work in attics, crawl spaces, and other confined or elevated areas
  • Ability to follow instructions closely and work well as part of a two-to-three person crew
Position Summary

The Assistant Spray Foam Technician supports the Lead Spray Technician on job sites by handling job site prep, material staging, equipment setup, and cleanup, while learning the fundamentals of spray polyurethane foam (SPF) application. This is an entry-to-mid-level role ideal for someone with general construction/labor experience who wants to build a career in a specialized, growing trade. 1-3 years spray foam experience highly prefered — we provide on-the-job training toward manufacturer certification.

Key Responsibilities Job Site Preparation
  • Prepare job sites for spraying, including masking, plastic sheeting, and containment setup
  • Stage materials, hoses, and equipment at the work area before the crew begins
  • Move drums, hoses, and equipment safely between the rig and work areas, including attics and crawl spaces
  • Assist with substrate prep (cleaning, clearing debris, minor repairs) prior to application
Support During Application
  • Assist the Lead Technician with hose management, drum changeovers, and equipment feeding during spraying
  • Monitor equipment gauges and alert the Lead Tech to any pressure, temperature, or ratio issues
  • Learn proper spray technique, pass thickness, and coverage standards under direct supervision
  • Progress toward independently spraying smaller/simpler areas as skills develop
Equipment & Materials
  • Help load and unload rigs, hoses, guns, and chemical drums at the start/end of each day
  • Assist with basic equipment cleaning and maintenance (hose flushing, gun cleaning, filter checks)
  • Track and report material usage and waste to the Lead Tech
  • Help maintain organization and cleanliness of the rig and warehouse drum room
Job Site Conduct & Cleanup
  • Maintain a clean, professional job site, including removing masking, trash, and overspray debris after each job
  • Represent the company professionally when working in occupied homes or active construction sites
  • Follow directions from the Lead Technician and Project Manager regarding daily job assignments and route
Qualifications Preferred
  • Prior experience with insulation, roofing, HVAC, or other construction trades
  • Basic familiarity with hand and power tools
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Interest in pursuing spray foam manufacturer certification and advancing to Lead Technician
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and carry equipment/hoses across job sites
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in tight, elevated, or confined spaces for extended periods
  • Ability to wear a respirator and full PPE, including in hot/humid attic and crawlspace conditions
  • Extended periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and physical labor

Work Schedule
  • Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday work based on job volume
  • Daily travel throughout the Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale, and Fayetteville territory; occasional travel to Fort Smith as territory expands
  • Early morning start times common to beat heat during summer attic/crawlspace work
