The (USA) Technician, Telecommunications, plays a critical role in supporting the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of telecommunications and cabling systems across Walmart facilities. This position involves coordinating with multiple teams to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met while adhering to relevant codes and regulations. The technician conducts inspections, performs troubleshooting, and provides onsite training to maintain system reliability and network availability.

The Telecommunications Technician team is responsible for installing and maintaining data cabling across campus facilities, ensuring reliable network connectivity. They collaborate closely with construction, technology, and planning teams to meet project timelines and quality standards. The team conducts inspections, performs troubleshooting, and supports system upgrades in compliance with technical codes and regulations. Members provide training and share expertise to enhance operational efficiency.

• Oversee telecommunications project work, ensuring installation and timeline requirements are met through effective communication and planning with construction and store planning teams.
• Conduct wireless surveys and validate connectivity to maintain system reliability, adjusting components as necessary to enhance network availability.
• Assist in developing and implementing cabling and telecommunication systems, ensuring compliance with technical codes and standards.
• Inspect supplier installations for contract compliance, perform quality checks, and report issues for timely resolution.
• Provide onsite training and support to technicians, promoting skill development and troubleshooting expertise.
• Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements throughout all activities.

• Proven experience in telecommunications installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting within complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of federal building codes, National Electric Code, FCC regulations, and environmental standards.
• Ability to conduct wireless surveys, validate connectivity, and adjust system components to ensure network reliability.
• Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to meet project timelines and quality standards.
• Experience performing quality assurance inspections and ensuring contract compliance for cabling and telecommunication systems.
• Effective communication skills to provide training, report issues, and advise leadership on technical solutions.
