Java Backend Engineer

Overview

The role includes building scalable microservices, integrating with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, implementing RESTful APIs, and contributing to front-end development when required.

The engineer will work across CI/CD pipelines, optimize SQL queries, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, efficient, and high-quality applications.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and NodeJS.
• Build and deploy microservices-based solutions and RESTful APIs.
• Develop server‑side applications in NodeJS with asynchronous programming patterns.
• Work with Microsoft Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL.
• Write optimized SQL queries and support database integration.
• Collaborate on front‑end development using React
  
  JS when required.
• Participate in CI/CD processes, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality and scalable solutions.

• 5–7 years of recent, hands‑on Java development experience at an enterprise scale.
• Strong programming skills in Java, including OOP principles and design patterns.
• Experience building and deploying microservices.
• Hands‑on experience developing Spring Boot applications with REST APIs and ORM.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services (App Service, Functions, Azure SQL).
• Proficiency in server‑side NodeJS development.
• Experience working with CI/CD practices and automated pipelines.
• Proficiency in writing optimized SQL queries.

• Experience with React
  
  JS (highly desired).
