Fullstack GO Developer

Overview

One of Insight Global’s retail clients is seeking a Fullstack Go Developer to join their Members Mark Community (MMC) initiative—a greenfield member‑engagement platform being built for Sam’s Club’s Member’s Mark brand. MMC is designed to give members a space to submit ideas, provide feedback, and influence future product creation. This engineer will primarily build and maintain backend APIs in Go while also contributing to user‑facing features using React.

They will work across the stack to support microservices, event‑driven services, and the member‑facing portal, collaborating closely with backend, data, and frontend engineers. This is not a pure frontend role, but the ideal candidate is comfortable jumping into React work without heavy hand‑holding.

• Build and maintain backend APIs in Go
• Contribute to user‑facing features using React

• Strong experience writing backend APIs in Go
• Experience working in cloud‑native, microservices‑based environments
• Ability to contribute to the frontend using React
• Understanding of component‑based UI design
• Understanding of consuming APIs from frontend applications
• Frontend build tools and workflows (e.g., npm/yarn, Webpack/Vite, CI/CD for frontend)
• Comfortable working in a full‑stack capacity, context‑switching between backend and frontend tasks
• Experience with event‑driven architectures and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub)
• Prior experience building customer‑facing portals or engagement/community platforms
• Familiarity with design systems or UI libraries (Material UI, Chakra, etc.)
• Experience collaborating with UX/UI designers and product teams
