You Are

UST is looking for a strong Java Backend Developer to work on a multi‑vendor multi‑geo team helping to build a Next Gen High Scale Enterprise Platform.

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build, deploy, and maintain applications following microservices architecture.
• Develop and deploy applications on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
• Design and implement event‑driven components using Apache Kafka.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, builds, and deployments.
• Write optimized, industry standard SQL queries for relational databases.
• Support container orchestration workflows using Kubernetes.
• Perform hands‑on debugging, root cause analysis, and on‑the‑fly logic creation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, communicate effectively (written and verbal), and contribute to a strong team environment.
• Work independently from day one with minimal supervision.

• Skills and experiences:
• 5‑7 years hands‑on experience in Java development at enterprise level (recent)
• Strong programming skills in Java, including object‑oriented programming principles, design patterns, and familiarity with Java frameworks
• Understanding of microservices architecture and experience in building and deploying microservices‑based applications
• Hands‑on experience in developing Spring Boot applications, including dependency injection, ORM (Object‑Relational Mapping), and REST API development
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) practices, including automated testing, build pipelines, and deployment strategies
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries as per industrial standards, fine‑tuned for optimization
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, good communication (written & verbal) skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team are also important for this role.
• The evaluation includes an hands‑on coding/troubleshooting exercise and should be able to articulate past projects and do on‑the‑fly troubleshooting/ write logic.

Compensation Range: $75,000‑$113,000

Full‑time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro‑rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.
