You Are
UST is looking for a strong Java Backend Developer to work on a multi‑vendor multi‑geo team helping to build a Next Gen High Scale Enterprise Platform.
The Opportunity- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build, deploy, and maintain applications following microservices architecture.
- Develop and deploy applications on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
- Design and implement event‑driven components using Apache Kafka.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, builds, and deployments.
- Write optimized, industry standard SQL queries for relational databases.
- Support container orchestration workflows using Kubernetes.
- Perform hands‑on debugging, root cause analysis, and on‑the‑fly logic creation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, communicate effectively (written and verbal), and contribute to a strong team environment.
- Work independently from day one with minimal supervision.

What You Need- Technical

- 5‑7 years hands‑on experience in Java development at enterprise level (recent)
- Strong programming skills in Java, including object‑oriented programming principles, design patterns, and familiarity with Java frameworks
- Understanding of microservices architecture and experience in building and deploying microservices‑based applications
- Hands‑on experience in developing Spring Boot applications, including dependency injection, ORM (Object‑Relational Mapping), and REST API development
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) practices, including automated testing, build pipelines, and deployment strategies
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries as per industrial standards, fine‑tuned for optimization
- Strong problem‑solving abilities, good communication (written & verbal) skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team are also important for this role.
- The evaluation includes an hands‑on coding/troubleshooting exercise and should be able to articulate past projects and do on‑the‑fly troubleshooting/ write logic.

Compensation Range: $75,000‑$113,000
