Java Backend Developer
Lead I - Software Engineering
You Are:UST is looking for a strong Java Backend Developer to work on a multi-vendor multi-geo team helping to build a Next Gen High Scale Enterprise Platform.
The opportunity:- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build, deploy, and maintain applications following microservices architecture.
- Develop and deploy applications on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
- Design and implement event-driven components using Apache Kafka.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, builds, and deployments.
- Write optimized, industry standard SQL queries for relational databases.
- Support container orchestration workflows using Kubernetes.
- Perform hands-on debugging, root cause analysis, and on-the-fly logic creation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate effectively (written and verbal), and contribute to a strong team environment.
- Work independently from day one with minimal supervision.

- 5-7 years hands on experience in Java development at enterprise level (recent)
- Strong programming skills in Java, including object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and familiarity with Java frameworks
- Understanding of microservices architecture and experience in building and deploying microservices-based applications
- Hands-on experience in developing Spring Boot applications, including dependency injection, ORM, and REST API development
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) practices, including automated testing, build pipelines, and deployment strategies
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries as per industrial standards, fine-tuned for optimization
- Strong problem-solving abilities, good communication (written & verbal) skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team
- The evaluation includes an hands on coding/troubleshooting exercise and should be able to articulate past projects and do on the fly troubleshooting/ write logic

Compensation Range: $75,000-$113,000

Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave, and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave. All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those laws.
