Position Summary
Position Summary... What you’ll do Platform Engineering Execution:
Delivers platform capabilities within a sub-organization or technical area, including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks (for example, CI/CD, SDKs, model runtimes, feature stores). Aligns development efforts with roadmap milestones and domain priorities to ensure cohesive execution. Applies cloud-native architecture principles (for example, microservices, containers, automation) to achieve scalability, resilience, and agility across systems. Software Development & Lifecycle Ownership:
Drives the full software development lifecycle: coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, observability, monitoring, and maintenance. Leads infrastructure and tooling development to accelerate engineering productivity, enhance developer experience, and support platform goals. Conducts system design reviews to validate feasibility, ensure quality, and confirm alignment with project goals and architectural best practices. AI/ML Integration & Product Development:
Builds AI-driven applications and intelligent automation features using languages such as JavaScript, Type Script, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and C++. Integrates AI agents and ML components that support multi-step reasoning and automation using platforms like Git Hub Copilot. Applies design patterns and principles to ensure solutions are secure, maintainable, modular, and scalable. Technical Leadership & Mentorship:
Mentors engineers and junior leaders across teams, fostering technical growth, psychological safety, and continuous learning. Influences architectural and technical decisions, advocating for standardization, reusability, and long-term sustainability. Enables team members through delegation, documentation, developer tool selection, and design guidance. Customer/Associate Problem Definition & Metrics:
Engages product and business stakeholders to identify and refine complex user problems, converting them into actionable technical requirements. Breaks down work into well-scoped, actionable units ready for engineering execution. Uses data-driven engineering practices to define and track success metrics, optimize development processes, and maintain engineering excellence. Engineering Excellence:
Contributes to API design and software prototyping to validate technical solutions and gather early feedback. Facilitates correction-of-error review processes to continuously improve code quality and reduce defect recurrence. Stays current with industry trends and contributes to engineering thought leadership through documentation, tool evaluations, and internal knowledge sharing. Technical Ownership:
Demonstrates responsibility for deliverables, ensuring solutions meet quality standards and business objectives. Takes initiative to resolve issues and drive projects to completion. Technical Judgment:
Applies sound reasoning to make informed technical decisions, balancing trade-offs and considering long-term impacts on system architecture and business goals. Change Agility:
