Position SummaryThe Principal Software Engineer, Information Security leads the design and implementation of secure, scalable software solutions aligned with business objectives. This role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to address complex security challenges, driving technical excellence, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The engineer guides development practices, oversees testing and defect management, and promotes continuous improvement to safeguard information assets while supporting organizational goals.
Responsibilities- Lead design and implementation of secure, scalable software solutions aligned with business requirements and security standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs, influence technical outcomes, and communicate shared goals effectively.
- Guide coding practices, frameworks, and tools to ensure maintainability, high availability, and compliance with security protocols.
- Drive automation of repetitive tasks within CI/CD pipelines to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Oversee testing strategies, defect management, and root cause analysis to maintain software quality and security.
- Monitor application performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives based on telemetry and analytics.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field and 5 years’ experience in software engineering at a technology, retail, or data‑driven company.
- OR 7 years’ experience in software engineering at a technology, retail, or data‑driven company.
- Certification in Security+, GISF, CISSP, CCSP, or GSEC.
- Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.
- 3 years’ experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects.
- Experience creating inclusive digital experiences and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards.
