Java Developer - INTL; Bangalore Hybrid

Job Description

We are seeking a Java Software Engineer.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and optimize REST and/or GraphQL APIs serving high-throughput workloads
• Design efficient data models using RDBMS (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Implement asynchronous workflows using Kafka or event-driven architecture
• Optimize SQL queries and improve system latency and throughput
• Participate in architectural design discussions and technical planning
• Write unit, integration, and performance tests (JUnit, Testcontainers, etc.)
• Ensure production readiness through logging, monitoring, and observability practices
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability

Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, QA, SRE, and Architecture teams

• 4–7 years of backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in Java (8+) and Spring Boot
• Solid experience with RDBMS design, indexing, query optimization
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or event-driven systems
• Experience designing scalable APIs (REST/GraphQL)
• Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals
• Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers)
• Familiarity with observability tools (Splunk/Open Observe/Grafana, logs & metrics)
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automated pipelines
• Understanding of secure coding practices in regulated environments Experience in healthcare or regulated domains (HIPAA familiarity)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/GCP)
• Experience with performance testing and load testing tools
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
