Shipping and Receiving Officer
The Shipping and Receiving Officer is responsible for receiving, picking, shipping, and inventory management activities within the warehouse. This role supports the WS Logistics Manager and ensures all processes are completed accurately and timely.
Responsibilities- Use forklift to unload trailers and receive all purchase orders accurately and within required time frames.
- Record received items immediately in JDE Edwards and physical location on racks.
- Proactively create space in warehouse for incoming material, following company bin‑to‑bin transfer procedures in JDE Edwards.
- Pick orders accurately and promptly, delivering completed items to the appropriate staging area.
- Make inventory transfers in JDE Edwards once a pick is complete.
- Create shipping labels and Bill of Lading in a timely manner; load trailers using forklift.
- Document shipped item numbers and quantities accurately within JDE Edwards and SharePoint.
- Perform cycle counts by item number and/or location when requested by Manager or Inventory Controller.
- Maintain general housekeeping and sanitation tasks such as sweeping floors, cleaning trailers, and trash removal.
- Act independently in all technical warehouse tasks.
- High School Diploma required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 2‑5 years of warehouse experience preferred.
- 1 year of stand‑up/sit‑down forklift experience.
- Preferred experience with JDE Edwards (or SAP), RFgen, and Excel.
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
- Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and comply with OSHA regulations.
- Detail oriented with quality monitoring skills.
- Strong willingness to learn and make decisions with little supervision.
- Effective organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Proactive work ethic and initiative.
- Team player who can shift priorities quickly.
- Positive attitude toward process improvement.
- Self‑starter with critical thinking abilities.
Full‑time, Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm (overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required based on business needs).
