Starting Pay : $17.00 per hour plus additional shift differential for evenings, nights and weekends.

Requirements:Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicants have been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.

Position Summary:- This position is responsible for assisting the egg truck driver over farm route to pick up eggs and deliver racks, flats and dividers at poultry houses or other customer locations by performing the following duties. Also, assisting the chick truck driver with loading and unloading by-product, helps load empty chick boxes to bring back to the hatchery. Upon returning to the CVI hatchery, the position is required to wash and disinfect truck.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License, 1 year verifiable Class A CDL experience operating a class 8 commercial motor vehicle with clean safety record.
- Assist egg truck driver in picking up eggs at farms, delivering supplies to farms and customers and help loading and unloading egg/chick trucks (70%)
- Showers into uniforms at each collection site, cleans and disinfects equipment (10%)
- Attends driver safety meetings and completes required D.O.T. reports and Ryder inspection forms.
- Maintains farm materials and processing materials inventory records, taking samples to the lab, loading bad pallets and taking to the land fill. (20%)
- The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
