Description:
The Berea College Health and Human Performance Department announces a one-year, with the potential for renewal assistant professor position in Health Studies beginning August 2026. The successful candidate will have a terminal degree in health studies or related field. Specific teaching assignments may include Health in Appalachia, Health Program Planning and Evaluation, Human Sexuality, and others. In addition, faculty are expected to contribute to the general education curriculum.

The Department offers B.A. degrees in Health and Human Performance, HHP P-12 Teaching Certification, Health Studies, and minors in Health Studies and Dance and provides a wide range of exercise science, health, and fitness courses and credentials serving the entire student body. The ideal candidate will display professionalism when interacting with members of the Berea College community and will demonstrate a commitment to carrying out the mission of Berea College.
