Adjunct Lecturer Teaching ETAD 180:
Graphic Communication and Design
The Engineering Technologies and Applied Design (ETAD) Department at Berea College is seeking an adjunct lecturer teaching ETAD 180:
Graphic Communication and Design up to a course load of two courses per semester starting August 2026. The course introduces students to the principles and theories of graphic design and surveys how industry standard software can be used for various forms of visual communication. In addition, the Graphic Design Lab includes the capacities for t-shirt screen printing, vinyl cutting, laser cutting, and digital photography that can be incorporated into the class.
Experience with the Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign and a strong foundation in design principles is required.
Candidates should submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, contact information for three letters of references, a portfolio of ten images of previous Graphic Design work, and copies of all academic transcripts. Review of applications will begin May 1st, 2026 and continue until the position is filled.
