Manufacturing Engineering Manager IIIWhat you will do
- Lead manufacturing engineering team, providing direction, prioritization, and coaching to support production, safety, quality, and cost objectives.
- Own departmental budgets and capital spending, including annual planning, monthly tracking, and quarterly forecasting in partnership with finance.
- Plan, execute, and monitor capital and process improvement projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with minimal production disruption.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by optimizing plant layout, workflows, equipment reliability, automation, and manufacturing processes using lean manufacturing principles.
- Support new product introductions and process changes, ensuring manufacturability, scalability, and operational readiness.
- Oversee the implementation and sustainment of advanced manufacturing and automation systems, improving productivity and consistency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, maintaining facilities and equipment to applicable state and federal standards.
- Develop team capabilities, identifying training needs and building technical and leadership skills across engineering and maintenance teams.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, quality, supply chain, and leadership to align engineering priorities with business goals.
- Lead the HYPull (lean operating/continuous improvement) system for the plant.
- A confident communicator who builds trust and alignment across teams and levels.
- A practical problem solver who uses data and experience to make sound decisions.
- A coach and mentor who develops talent and strengthens team engagement.
- A change leader who drives improvement while maintaining operational stability.
- A results‑oriented professional who balances strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required;
Master’s degree preferred. - 7-10 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Manufacturing engineering leadership and team management.
- Capital project planning, execution, and financial control.
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Automation systems, equipment integration, and process optimization.
- New product and process introduction support.
- Root cause analysis and structured problem‑solving.
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
