Job Summary

Industrial Engineer I‑III – Berea, KY (Berea Plant) – Hyster‑Yale Materials Handling, Inc. This role supports the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of material‑handling systems such as supermarkets, kitting areas, and milk‑run routes.

• Support design, setup, and improvement of material‑handling systems.
• Maintain and update material‑flow data (bill of materials, engineering changes, new product or process introductions).
• Analyze material movement to identify bottlenecks, improve flow, and enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
• Monitor impacts of manufacturing or process changes and adjust material‑flow strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with production, supply chain, engineering, and other teams to provide recommendations and support improvement initiatives.
• Assist with planning and scheduling systems to reduce queue times and support just‑in‑time delivery.
• Support implementation and improvement of software, hardware, and equipment used for material‑flow activities.
• Develop project plans, track progress, communicate updates, and drive successful project execution.

  Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field; up to 2years manufacturing, supply‑chain, or industrial‑engineering experience; preference for material‑flow or material‑handling experience.

  :
  Bachelor’s degree in the same disciplines; 1–3years manufacturing or supply‑chain experience; 2–3years material‑flow or internal‑logistics experience.
• LevelIII
  :
  Bachelor’s degree in the same disciplines; 3–5years manufacturing or supply‑chain experience; 3–5years advanced material‑flow experience (kitting, supermarket design, or milk‑run systems).

• Knowledge of discrete manufacturing processes and material‑handling systems.
• Ability to design, analyze, and optimize material‑flow layouts and logistics methods.
• Familiarity with lean principles and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to simplify complex process issues.
• Experience developing innovative solutions to manufacturing challenges.
• Strong project‑management skills and experience leading cross‑functional efforts.
• Ability to support teams through process changes and new‑system adoption.
