Role Overview

As a Director of Sea Logistics Business Development at Kuehne+Nagel, you will shape long‑term business success by leading strategic initiatives, cultivating high‑value customer relationships, and uncovering new growth opportunities. Your expertise will drive impactful solutions that strengthen global supply chains and deliver exceptional value to our clients. This role can be based in any of our major U.S. locations.

• Define and execute growth strategies to expand the sea logistics footprint.
• Identify and secure high‑value opportunities and strategic partnerships.
• Negotiate long‑term contracts and represent Kuehne+Nagel at industry events.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to deliver customer‑centric solutions.
• Analyze trends and insights to stay ahead of the market.

• 10+ years in freight forwarding sales, specializing in sea freight.
• Proven track record in strategic business development and executive‑level negotiations.
• Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
• Deep understanding of global logistics markets and customer needs.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States and will not be eligible for employment visa sponsorship.

Target base salary range: $90,000–$120,000. Salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles.
