Welding Engineer

• Responsible for managingwelding processes to ensure compliance to all customer and industry specifications
• Lead all NADCAP and customerwelding audits
• Review and enhance procedures for qualification and testing ofweldoperators andwelders
• Assist in training, testing, and approval ofweldoperators
• Provide technical resources as thewelding subject matter expert for business unit
• Ensure customer requirement flow-down through contract review
• Support Quality and Manufacturing Engineers to ensure products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
• Interface with internal departments to engage in activities that ensure continuous control overwelding equipment and processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Education and Experience:
  
  Two-year college or university; and minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive experience with AWS D17.1 & D17.2
• Extensive experience inwelding processes and aerospace customer specifications
• Experience with aerospace materials - super alloys, Inconel 625 / 718, titaniums, aluminums, stainless steels
• AWS certifiedweldinspector
  -preferred
• Experience with TIG, spot, and laser welding
• Computer

  Microsoft Office – word, excel and power point
