Since 1985, Ohio Guidestone has been successfully providing foster care services across Ohio. We are one of the largest providers of foster care services and collaborate with children’s services agencies in individual counties to identify foster homes for children in need of a safe, nurturing place to live. We place medically fragile children, children with therapeutic needs, teens, teens who are parenting, and sibling groups.

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager for our Foster Care program. The Operations Manager will analyze operations, policies, and procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices in alignment with organizational and regulatory standards. Bachelor's degree required. Licensed clinician is preferred.

Essential Functions
  • Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of Ohio Guidestone, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity and ethics.
  • Support leadership by analyzing operations, policies, and procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices in alignment with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance measures, productivity, client satisfaction, and compliance with contracts and regulations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, support new projects or services, and present findings and recommendations to leadership.
  • Assist with budgeting processes and provide input into program and contract financial planning as directed.
  • Build strong working relationships and effectively collaborate with staff at all levels and external partners.
  • Address operational issues and conflicts, providing feedback and solutions to maintain productivity and staff morale.
  • Perform administrative responsibilities including preparing reports, maintaining records, responding to communications, attending meetings/trainings, and coordinating with internal departments and external agencies.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor assigned direct reports, as well as oversee and uphold performance standards and the level of accountability within the department
  • Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and a culture of belonging.
  • Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
  • Present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.
Education & Experience

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Social Services or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Certain programs may require a license such as LISW, LPCC or LISW-S or LPCC-S.
  • Minimum three years’ experience with demonstrated knowledge of measuring and managing performance with a quantitative focus.
