- Export-Controlled Data This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items
- Safely perform all painting processes to ensure parts are conforming to customer specifications and industry requirements.
- Prepare workspace for parts to be painted.
- Clean or degrease parts as needed.
- Set up, adjust, and maintain spray and hanging equipment.
- Select and mix coating liquid to specifications.
- Apply prime or finish coat to parts and coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush.
- Ensure quality requirements are met.
- Follow work orders to determine appropriate surface spray.
- Sample all required testing specifications and interpret results.
- Perform inspections to ensure procedural compliance.
- Timely completion of required documentation accurately (i.e. time care, work instructions, , production records).
- Adhere to all safety, quality and operating procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Perform safety checks and preventative maintenance on equipment/booth, as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Previous work experience painting a variety of surface types
- Understand technique to meet coating and thickness desired
- Proficient with and physically able to operate technical equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent dexterity and hand eye coordination
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, procedures and other documents
- Read basic measuring devices including micrometers and calipers
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Desire to work overtime, as needed
- Ability to meet the physical demand of the job
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude preferred
