Job Description SummaryAs the Regional Business Director (RBD), you will build Ipsen’s sales organization, leading the oncology sales force in the South Central Region. Your responsibilities include developing a business plan, implementing national sales strategies, and driving high‑impact customer engagement.
Responsibilities- Lead the oncology sales force activities in the South Central Region including recruiting, hiring, training and development, performance evaluation, and compliance.
- Meet or exceed the region’s assigned sales targets and align field activities with strategic initiatives of the brand.
- Analyze the region’s business, build short‑ and long‑term business plans, and drive sales growth.
- Set clear expectations and evaluate compliance with regulatory standards and promotional policies.
- Coach sales representatives on core sales competencies, product and reimbursement skills.
- Partner with Value & Access teams to develop strategies that drive access to the brand.
- Set clear expectations for utilization of approved promotional programs.
- Communicate clear and compelling messages to varied audiences, ensuring compliance.
- BS/BA mandatory; advanced degree a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of sales experience within biopharma with at least 3 years in sales leadership/management of oncology products.
- Extensive knowledge of the payer landscape in the Southeast region and factors that drive access.
- Experience with injectable medications and buy‑and‑bill and specialty pharmacy fulfillment pathways.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a track record of delivering exceptional business results and launching new products.
- Familiar with trade relations, reimbursement environment, government programs, managed care, formulary and contract negotiation.
- Strong presentation, organizational and administrative skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including virtual communication.
The annual base salary range is $156,750 – $229,900. This position is eligible to participate in Ipsen’s incentive compensation program and long‑term incentives program.
