Test Lead – Functional Testing (Mainframe)

Location:

Alpharetta, GA or Berkeley Heights, NJ (5 days onsite – mandatory)

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead – Functional Testing with strong mainframe testing and environment support expertise
. The role focuses on end-to-end (E2E) functional testing
, test automation, and backend environment support across complex mainframe systems. The ideal candidate will act as a lead and escalation point, ensuring testing quality, SLA adherence, and environment stability.

• Lead functional and end-to-end testing
  , participating in client and technical discussions to understand requirements and risks.
• Plan and maintain test strategies, test cases, and test suites
  , ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Develop and enhance test automation scripts and frameworks using tools like Selenium and TestNG.
• Provide E2E testing and environment support for mainframe systems, including batch monitoring, root cause analysis, and file transmission support.
• Act as an escalation point for testing and environment issues, managing incidents and ensuring SLA compliance.
• Collaborate with QA, development, and infrastructure teams, and provide status and risk reporting to stakeholders.

• Mainframe Technologies: COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM
• Online Systems: CICS (preferred)
• Job Scheduling: CA-7
• Testing & Support: End-to-End Testing, Environment Management, File Transmission Monitoring
• Automation Tools: Selenium, TestNG (or equivalent)
• Database Testing & Data Validation

• Strong hands-on experience in mainframe batch and online systems
• Experience in client-facing or production support roles
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills

• ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level
• Test Automation Certification (e.g., Certified Selenium Tester)
