AI-Augmented Software Development Architect About your role:  We are seeking an AI-Augmented Software Development Architect to lead the integration of AI-powered development tools and practices across our software development lifecycle. This is not a role focused on building AI/ML models-rather, you will be the organizational expert on leveraging AI coding assistants, automation tools, and intelligent workflows to dramatically improve developer productivity, code quality, and delivery speed.

A critical part of this role is driving adoption at scale across thousands of developers, requiring both technical expertise and the ability to inspire and mobilize engineering teams.

What you will do:

Define and implement the AI-augmented SDLC strategy, establishing standards for how teams leverage AI tools throughout the development process-from requirements to deployment
Architect enterprise-wide AI tool integrations, ensuring secure, compliant, and effective adoption across the organization
Lead AI-assisted modernization of legacy systems, including using AI tools for code comprehension, refactoring, documentation generation, and migration planning for older codebases
Design prompt engineering patterns, context management strategies, and best practices that maximize AI assistant effectiveness for development teams
Establish metrics and measurement frameworks to quantify AI tool impact on velocity, quality, and developer satisfaction
Lead governance efforts around AI-generated code, including review processes, security scanning, and compliance requirements specific to fintech
Partner with security, compliance, and legal teams to ensure AI tool usage meets regulatory requirements (SOC 2, PCI-DSS, etc.)
Drive organization-wide adoption through internal evangelism, hackathons, demo days, and hands-on enablement programs that change developer habits at scale
Experience you will need to have:
10+ years of software development experience with deep expertise in Java and/or Python
3+ years in a software architecture or technical leadership role
Hands-on experience with major LLM-powered coding assistants and the ability to rapidly evaluate emerging tools as the landscape evolves (i.e. Claude Code, Codex)
Experience working with legacy codebases and leading modernization or migration initiatives
Proven track record of driving large-scale developer adoption of new tools or practices
Strong understanding of modern SDLC practices including CI/CD, Dev Ops, and agile methodologies
Experience implementing tooling and processes at the enterprise level
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with ability to inspire and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience that would be great to have:
Experience in fintech, banking, or other regulated industries
Background in prompt engineering or working with LLM APIs
Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks (Lang Chain, Lang Graph, CrewAI)
Experience running internal hackathons, innovation programs, or developer advocacy initiatives

Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and Agent Skills
