Work Location: 200 Connell Drive, Berkeley Heights, NJ, USA
Job Title: Field Network Tester
Pay Rate: $34–36/hr (W2+Benefits)
Work Schedule: FULLY ONSITE
Travel: 4 out 5 days in a car traveling to test sites.
Education And Years Of
Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree in telecommunications or computer science related field; 3+ years of experience.
Execute field and mobility driving test cases for Development and MR projects. Prepare devices for testing in field (software, applicable test tools, etc.). Create new test routes or revise existing Infra based on new network features and changes. Report any defects and draft issues on PLM for review and register, and report on daily basis detailed field test results.
Responsibilities- Testing QA specified field interoperability test plans (FIT).
- Testing/troubleshooting hardware, software, embedded software used in wireless voice and data networking.
- Performing sanity testing, stability testing, functionality testing, stress testing and feature testing on various devices.
- Performs lab tests and evaluates new wireless products and accessories, including verification of product features by simulating of a variety of customer applications.
- Prepare test results data and writes required engineering reports to ensure products compliance with requirements and test plans.
- Works effectively with team members.
- Ability to design, code, and maintain test scripts using Python, JavaScript, or similar languages. Proficiency in AI/ML platforms and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, Azure AI Studio).
- Travel required (30%).
- Requires between 3-5 years technical or telecommunications engineering related experience.
- Prior experience with CDMA, EVDO, LTE, 5G .
- Prior experience with Qualcomm tools such as QXDM, QCAT, and QPST desired.
- Prior experience with post processing tools such as Wind Catcher, Actix, or XCAL/XCAP-M desired.
- Prior cell phone testing experience desired.
- Previous experience with operating systems, such as:
Windows, MAC, Linux. - Previous experience with Spirent/Metrico tools such as NOMAD, MUSE, and Datum is desired.
- Previous experience running FIT test plans for Verizon, US Cellular, or other US NMO’s is desired.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
