We urgently need a SQL associate in Berkeley Heights NJ (daily in office).
About the RoleAs a SQL Associate at Apexon, you will play a pivotal role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining data solutions that enable critical business insights. You will focus on managing and transforming data pipelines using SQL and Streamsets while ensuring data accuracy, scalability, and performance. This role is essential to delivering high-quality data engineering solutions for our clients in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain SQL-based data models and queries to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
- Create, optimize, and troubleshoot ETL pipelines using Streamsets to transform and process large-scale datasets efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and deliver robust solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor and ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of data workflows and database systems.
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within data engineering processes.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
- Document technical workflows, processes, and solutions to maintain clarity in project execution and knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve data engineering practices and capabilities.
- 5+ years of experience in SQL development, database design, and optimization.
- Proficiency in building and managing ETL pipelines using Streamsets or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of relational databases, data governance, and data warehousing concepts.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently on complex data engineering tasks.
