Role Summary
We are hiring an Infrastructure Architect to support the design, implementation, and operational readiness of a new data center build across primary and secondary sites. This role will work closely with senior architects, infrastructure engineering teams, facilities/colo vendors, security, and operations to translate architecture standards into practical build and implementation deliverables.
Key Responsibilities- Architecture Support: Contribute to target-state architecture, resiliency design, capacity planning, and operational standards; assist in creating HLD/LLD, diagrams, and runbooks.
- Physical DC Build Coordination: Support requirements gathering and implementation coordination for space planning, rack elevations, A/B power, PDUs, cooling readiness, structured cabling, cross-connects, labeling, and rack/stack/commissioning activities.
- Network: Support design and implementation activities for DC core/leaf-spine, routing/segmentation, DCI/WAN connectivity, firewall placement, and DNS/DHCP/IPAM integration under senior technical guidance.
- Compute/Virtualization: Assist with compute platform design and implementation, including VMware/vSphere or similar environments, cluster sizing inputs, lifecycle/patching standards, automation readiness, and performance baseline documentation.
- Storage: Support block/file storage design, replication, encryption, tiering, and file services migration or cutover planning.
- Backup/DR: Assist with backup and disaster recovery solution design aligned to RPO/RTO requirements, including validation of backup coverage, DR runbooks, and DR test evidence.
- Security/Compliance: Apply security and compliance standards across infrastructure designs, including logging/SIEM integration, RBAC/PAM alignment, segmentation, and audit-ready documentation.
- Delivery Support: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, support ARB reviews, validate vendor BOM inputs, contribute to MOPs/cutover plans, track technical risks/issues, and provide implementation status updates.
- 8–10+ years of infrastructure engineering or architecture experience, with exposure to data center build, migration, or modernization initiatives.
- Hands-on experience in at least 1–2 infrastructure domains and working knowledge across network, compute, storage, backup/DR, and physical data center coordination.
- Experience contributing to HLD/LLD, implementation plans, MOPs, validation checklists, and operational handover documentation.
- Ability to collaborate with senior architects, infrastructure teams, vendors, and operations stakeholders through design, implementation, cutover, and stabilization phases.
