Reports To
The Custodian receives daily direction from the school Head Custodian. In the absence of the Head Custodian or Principal the worker will receive direction from the Supervisor of Building and Grounds, and/or the Business Administrator/Board Secretary

Job Goal
The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness of the school building and grounds.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful Criminal History Clearance
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization.
• Experience as a school custodian, or the equivalent in custodial service at other institutions and firms.
• Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the basic techniques of custodial service.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
• Certificate of good health by school doctor.
• Ability to read basic operating instructions and write reports.
• Ability to communicate with others.
• Demonstrate aptitude for completion of assigned tasks.
• Good attendance and punctuality
• Black Seal license (One-year time allowance).
• Valid NJ Drivers License

Starting Salary
: $50,853

Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status

Must be NJ resident within one year from date of hire
