Clinical Nurse Manager
The Clinical Nurse Manager is a Registered Professional Nurse with responsibility for managing the Pre‑Operative, Operating Room, Recovery Room, and GI Endoscopy areas. The nurse will oversee clinical operations, financial and administrative management, and support business objectives consistent with Summit Medical Group’s mission.
Responsibilities- Direct management of day‑to‑day clinical operations of all peri‑operative departments, including oversight of personnel.
- Collaborate with the Site Administrative Director to deliver patient care and service.
- Maintain awareness of professional issues at local, state, and national levels that impact patient care.
- Implement and revise ASC policies to improve quality and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and accreditation bodies (AAAHC, OSHA, DOH, APIC, NHSH, AORN).
- Participate in the Quality Improvement Committee and the Infection Prevention Committee, maintaining meeting minutes.
- Ensure nursing staff receive annual performance evaluations and provide coaching, discipline, and discharge recommendations as needed.
- Perform payroll for employees and manage paid time‑off requests.
- Facilitate orientation, onboarding, hiring, supervising, evaluating, and developing clinical staff through coaching, training, performance reviews, and timely issue resolution.
- Collaborate with the Administrative Director and Procurement Department to review case costs and identify cost‑reduction opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
- 2–4 years of OR experience.
- 2–4 years of OR leadership (charge, lead, coordinator) experience preferred.
- New Jersey State Registered Nurse license.
- ACLS, PALS, BLS required; AORN certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead and manage a department with a high level of customer service and patient care focus.
- Proficiency in problem‑solving, critical thinking, and priority setting.
- Knowledge of current nursing practices and protocols.
- Physical mobility, including movement from place to place and maintaining speed and distance.
- Physical agility to maneuver while in place.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers.
- Endurance for continuous typing, prolonged standing/bending, and walking.
- Approximately 10% travel between Summit Medical Group locations.
Competitive base salary up to $135,000, based on experience, with annual bonus eligibility.
