Job OverviewThe Senior Clinical Science Specialist is an advanced team member who demonstrates strong clinical expertise, commercial acumen, and account leadership. This role manages complex accounts, engages diverse stakeholders, and leverages data to drive strategic decisions and outcomes.
Responsibilities- Achieve or exceed objectives associated with assigned brands, including sales, share, and other quantitative and qualitative KPIs as determined periodically.
- Effectively and professionally navigate complex multi‑stakeholder organizations including integrated networks, hospitals, and healthcare communities.
- Manage the assigned geography and customer accounts efficiently, following principles of key physician/account prioritization, daily call reporting, and resource utilization.
- Develop and maintain appropriate professional relationships with customers, guided by the best interests of patients and bound by company policies and procedures.
- Engage in in‑depth conversations with physicians and other healthcare professionals based solely on approved resources and messages and consistent with the approved label(s).
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional team members to identify and resolve customer needs promptly and with a high sense of urgency.
- Review and analyze market/customer data to support and execute strategic planning.
- Eight years of life sciences experience, including at least five years in rare or specialty areas, and at least three years in specialty biopharma sales.
- Experience in GI and/or Hepatology.
- Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding quantitative and qualitative targets.
- Demonstrated understanding of the payer and clinical landscape, especially in specialty and rare diseases.
- Patient‑centricity demonstrated by empathy, understanding, and commitment to support patients.
- Superior presentation, organization, administration, and written communication skills.
- Market, disease, and product knowledge.
- Education:
BA/BS required; MBA, MSc, Nursing, and other advanced degrees are a plus.
- Annual base salary range: $135,000 – $198,000.
- Eligibility to participate in incentive and long‑term incentives programs.
