Overview

HPE Morpheus Enterprise - Software Engineer. This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

HPE is committed to being a force for good and pushing for better. As we enhance our Hybrid and Private Cloud portfolios, we are looking to expand and grow our Private Cloud Engineering team with talented and inspired Software Engineers.

• You will analyze and update system logic and documentation with senior engineers' guidance.

• You will participate or lead in designing, implementing, monitoring, and troubleshooting software systems.

• You will be responsible for frontend and backend software development.

• You will need to stay updated on product roadmaps and upcoming technology changes with senior engineers' guidance.

• You will assist on customer issues as needed and help ensure technical standards and documentation requirements are met.

• You will collaborate with sales engineering and operational teams to understand customer needs and recommend solutions.

• You will learn about the operational challenges faced by engineering teams and assist in developing strategies to address them.

• You have experience in Java, Groovy, Ruby, and/or Python.

• You have experience with Linux environments.

• You have some experience with backend development, RESTful APIs, server-side logic, or database management with SQL or No
  
  SQL databases.

• You understand core compute, storage, and networking principles.

• You have familiarity with virtualization, IT Service Management (ITSM), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and other automation technologies.

• You have knowledge of build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle), version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.

• You have eagerness to learn and apply cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

• You have strong communication skills and a willingness to listen and learn from more experienced team members.

• You take complete ownership of projects and mistakes, possess problem-solving skills, and have tremendous self-drive.

• You understand system architecture and design principles.

• You can translate product requirements into technical tasks, with guidance from senior engineers.

• You have interest in identifying areas for product improvements and contributing ideas that align with business objectives.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 7+ years of experience contributing to technology projects and delivering solutions at scale.

• Pursuing or completed a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, CompTIA Security+).
