Software Development Engineering - Advisor I
About your roleAt Fiserv, we are dedicated to transforming financial services technology to benefit our clients. As a Software Development Engineering – Advisor I, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mainframe applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs, ensuring stability and scalability in a high-volume transaction environment.
Whatyou'll do
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform coding, testing, and debugging of programs to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Maintain and improve existing codebase, optimize processes, and lead peer review processes.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on best practices to enhance team capabilities.
- 6+ years of experience in application development.
- 6+ years of experience with online transaction processing systems.
- 1+ year of experience with Fiserv applications and systems.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree) or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of mainframe modernization strategies (e.g., API integration, migration to distributed systems).
- Exposure to CI/CD concepts in a mainframe environment.

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
For incentive eligible associates, the successful candidate is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity which may be delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards in the Company's sole discretion.
