School Bus Driver

Position Overview

First Student is looking for a Part‑Time School Bus Driver in Berkeley Heights, NJ. You will play a vital role in transporting students to and from school. No prior driving experience is required; we provide paid CDL training.

• Split shift: morning before‑school pickup and afternoon drop‑off, with free hours in between.
• Guaranteed 5‑hour shift per school day; no nights or weekends unless requested.
• Potential additional hours through trips and charters when available.
• Maintain a safe travel environment and follow all transportation regulations.

• No college degree or high school diploma.
• Military experience.
• Returning to the workforce or looking for a second job.
• Retiree status.
• Looking to start a new career.

• Part‑time schedule sought.
• Enjoy working with students.
• At least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.

• Pay rate $34.93 per hour.
• Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits plus 401(k) Retirement Savings plan.
• Paid CDL training.
• Child‑Ride‑Along Program.

• DOT drug testing required. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana.
