Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This role will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and various general accounting functions. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and collaborative, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a desire to grow their career.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for financial reporting.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and investigate variances.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Monitor fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accruals.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors during annual audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues and provide financial support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
