Position: Vessel Performance Specialist

The Vessel Performance Specialist will be responsible for driving forth this purpose through the proactive monitoring and improvement of vessel performance across Cargill's chartered fleet.

Key Accountabilities
  • Oversee performance metrics for a segment of the fleet.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on performance trends to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Coordinate with various teams to ensure operational efficiency of the voyage.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing energy efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development of digital tools.
  • Assist with safety and compliance matters.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of relevant work experience.
  • Fluency in English

PREFERRED

QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Sea-going experience as a Marine Engineer and/or prior experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Experience in processing data and applying statistical/data analysis techniques to generate actionable vessel performance insights and recommendations is a plus.
