The Executive MBA (EMBA) Program Office runs the full-time, accelerated (22-month), in-person program for working professional students, including a residential experience and frequent campus visits to leverage Haas/Cal offerings.
The EMBA program aims to equip students with transformative leadership development opportunities through teams, networking, and focused immersive experiences across five areas—leadership, design thinking, entrepreneurship and innovation, public policy, global sustainability and capitalism—and to foster elevated student experiences and ongoing residency requirements.
Position SummaryThis position is critical in creating and enhancing the EMBA student experience during the 22-month program. Responsibilities include providing the full range of student services, communicating with students, campus partners, and faculty regarding program updates, events, scheduling, and related matters; organizing logistics and outreach to faculty, alumni, students, and vendors for commencement, orientation, and the Leadership Summit; and developing strategic initiatives to enhance the student experience both inside and outside the classroom (including networking and social events, speaker series, and class leadership coordination).
It also includes coordinating with Career Management Group/faculty/Program Office to schedule recorded Term Zero synchronous workshops for deposited incoming students.

Responsibilities- Applying professional student services concepts, providing the full range of student services to the EMBA student population.
- Responding to inquiries from students, faculty, MBA program staff, and other campus offices regarding program requirements and requests for assistance.
- Communicating regularly with students, faculty, and staff regarding program updates, events, scheduling, and other matters of importance.
- Developing strategic initiatives to enhance the student experience inside and outside the classroom, including networking and social events, speaker series, and class leadership coordination.
- Initiatives should include development of technological solutions to improve the student experience.
- Advising students on curriculum scheduling, electives, degree requirements, and policies; monitoring progress and performing degree verification audits for graduates.
- Maintaining relationships with the University’s graduate division and central campus units, in addition to Evening/Weekend and Full-Time program staff and faculty.
- Planning, developing, and executing Orientation, Commencement, and Leadership Summit events; coordinating workshops, field trips, and guest speakers; assisting with international study trips (GNAM).
- Creating and implementing extracurricular activities to enhance the student experience and facilitating interaction among student populations across programs (EWMBA, EMBA, FT).
- Serving as advisor and mentor to student leadership officers and coordinating with the program office for Leadership Summit.
- Maintaining understanding of University and School policies; recommending improvements to programs as needed.
