Extensive Support Needs Credential or Moderate/Severe Credential Needed
We are currently looking to staff one Elementary Special Education (SPED) teacher position at one of our elementary sites for the school year. We are specifically seeking candidates who hold a valid Extensive Support Needs (ESN) or Moderate/Severe credential.
Key details regarding these assignments are as follows:
- Caseload:
Approximately 11 students per year. - Daily
Hours:
7.17 hours per day. - Weekly
Hours:
35.85 hours per week.

Pay: $100,000-$120,000 per year

Special Education Teachers: 1 year (Preferred)
Special education: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: - CA Special Education/ Education Specialist Credential (Required)
Under the supervision of the Special Education Director and Regional Director, the Education Specialist provides services that meet the educational needs of each student in the Education Specialist’s area of responsibility.
Serves as an Education Specialist to students from Preschool through Transitions. Evaluates needs of children within the educational system or school. Applies scientific principles in assessment, curriculum, and behavior interventions. Conducts case management and supervision of caseload. Attends school meetings and completes assessment reports. Provides specific disability area services related to academic, social and emotional needs; special education services to individuals with impairments across special education disability areas.
The Education Specialist facilitates the prevention, identification, evaluation, and treatment of children according to established IEPs and 504 plans. Employees in this job class receive limited supervision from a school administrator or designee and will consult and provide services in a variety of classrooms/school/early intervention settings at more than one site, with many different educational team members, within a framework of special education policies and procedures.
