Salary range: The current salary range for this position is $84,100 - $132,900 (9-month academic year salary); however, off-scale salary and other components of pay, which would yield compensation that is higher than this range, are offered to meet competitive conditions.

Position descriptionThe Department of Neuroscience at the University of California, Berkeley (UCB) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Computational Neuroscience at the Assistant Professor level.
We seek applicants studying fundamental questions within the areas of Computational Neuroscience broadly defined. Example areas of interest include, but are not limited to, neural data analytics, neural circuit modeling, mathematical models of perception/memory/cognition/motor production, statistical modeling and machine learning approaches for neural data mining and brain modeling, theoretical neuroscience and biological intelligence. Track record of collaborations with experimental labs and synergy with research in our department will also be considered.

- PhD, MD or equivalent international degree
Preferred qualifications
- A PhD and/or MD or equivalent international degree in Neuroscience or a related field. At least two years postdoctoral research experience. Evidence of originality, productivity, and impact in research. Potential to teach and mentor students at all levels, with an ability to support the success of all students through an inclusive curriculum, classroom environment, and pedagogy.
