The Assistant Director of Student Services independently advises students, resolves student services-related issues, and advises faculty and management on a variety of student and operational issues. This position serves as the lead point of contact for students and faculty on the full scope of academic issues, including curricular matters, progress toward degree, master's thesis project completion, student employment, personal challenges, and grievances with instructors, staff, or other students.

This position works with school management to recommend changes to policies, practices, and procedures, while exercising a high degree of autonomy to interface directly with campus offices such as the registrar's office, financial aid office, graduate division, or student learning center. Additional duties include managing and maintaining the course schedule and room assignments, tracking and administering funds for student programs, and coordinating ASE appointments.

This position also aids in student outreach and recruitment events, and collaborates on key school events such as orientation, commencement, and career information sessions, while supervising undergraduate student assistants.
