The Political Economy Program at the University of California, Berkeley seeks a tenure-track assistant professor for a position 50% in Political Economy and 50% in a related discipline. The program has identified interdisciplinary economics as a priority, including any subfield of the discipline (such as labor and public economics, economic history, or industrial organization) and not only the subfield called “political economy.”
The position is also open to scholars in related disciplines who could offer courses in priority areas for curriculum expansion such as finance, the digital economy, climate change, international political economy, race, ethnicity, and/or immigration and migration.
The program is committed to addressing the family needs of faculty, including dual career couples and single parents, as well as candidates who have had non-traditional career paths or who have taken time off for family reasons.
