Senior Software Engineer – Systems Development

Requirements

• – Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• – 14+ years of relevant work experience or equivalent technical education and experience
• – Strong analytical, systems thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• – Practical experience with requirements decomposition, tracing, and configuration management
• – Experience in crafting and executing test plans and system-level integration verification
• – Familiarity with standard engineering tools such as DOORS, MBSE, test management, and collaboration platforms like Jira or Git
• – Proficient in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Matlab) for test automation and data analysis
• – Ability to obtain U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance

• Review, develop, document, and maintain system requirements and their traceability throughout the lifecycle
• Define strategies, plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria for testing at component, integration, and system levels
• Design and implement verification and validation activities, including functional and performance assessments
• Analyze test outcomes, conduct root cause analyses, and propose corrective measures
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines with developers and test engineers to ensure holistic functionality and mission success
• Lead the integration of hardware, software, and mission systems in secure defense environments
• Employ modern Dev Sec Ops  practices like CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to enhance integration and testing
• Establish, configure, and sustain secure test environments using cloud-native and virtual resources
• Utilize model-based systems engineering and requirements management tools for design support and traceability
• Participate in risk management, reporting technical readiness and critical path impacts
• Drive ongoing improvement of integration and testing processes through automation and lessons learned
• Document integration results and findings for design reviews and formal customer deliverables
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects
