Role DescriptionForm Energy is seeking a Staff Supplier Industrialization Engineer to provide end-to-end technical and quality leadership for our power conversion equipment and balance of plant assemblies. Reporting to the Global Supply Management team, you will own the entire supplier lifecycle-from early-stage DFM and sourcing to full-scale production and cradle to grave quality accountability. As a Staff level engineer, you will be the definitive voice of the supplier, establishing the standards and quality frameworks (including PPAP) that ensure our external partners can scale to meet the demands of a 100% renewable grid.
This is a hybrid role, which will require working onsite from our Berkeley, CA office 3-4 days per week. Relocation assistance is available.
What you ll doEstablish Strategic Standards: Lead the development and execution of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) frameworks for electrical assemblies to ensure flawless product launches.
Cradle-to-Grave Ownership: Drive the entire product industrialization lifecycle, from influencing early Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to managing end-of-life quality dispositions and continuous improvement.
Lead Complex Resolutions: Resolve high-impact, complex technical issues at supplier sites by coordinating cross-functional teams (Design, Reliability, and Test) to implement robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Architect Production Success: Determine the methods and procedures for new supplier programs, supervising supplier resources to ensure Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and yield targets align with Form s long-term scale.
Drive Supplier Accountability: Act as a project leader and mentor, holding domestic and international CMs accountable to rigorous industrialization timelines and world-class manufacturing standards.
Organizational Impact: Network with key stakeholders to align supplier capabilities with Form Energy s technology roadmap, traveling (20%) to audit sites and verify process stability firsthand.
7-10+ years of experience in new product development and manufacturing of power conversion assemblies (e.g., inverters, transformers, DC/DC converters).
BS in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
Deep experience implementing PPAP, conducting SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Request) investigations, and managing supplier quality systems.
