CAD Design Engineer
Pay Rate up to $70-$80 DOE
Location Berkeley, CA
Contract for 3 months
Design engineering and CAD support is needed to progress the product design of the Engineering Verification Test phase of the product for our client in Berkeley, CA. Individuals assigned to each of the objectives will work to advance Module integration component and assembly designs. Individuals will create 3D CAD models of parts and assemblies and 2D drawings for ECO release and procurement.

- b) Assembly clearances
- c) Tolerance design
- d) Punched feature design
- e) Implementing supplier DFM feedback
- f) Implementing supplier DFM feedback
- g) Weld detailing
- h) Detailed 2D drawings
- a) Detailed design of machined, thermoformed, and injection molded parts
- b) Implementing draft, fillets, and maintaining cross section per process standards
- c) Assembly clearances
- d) Tolerance design
- a) Find and resolve interferences
- b) Design and implement bracketing
- c) Select and implement fasteners
- d) Configuration management
- e) BOM management
- f) Detailed 2D drawings
- a) Automatic annotation links
- b) Display state management and configuration
- c) Maximizing performance
- d) GD&T
- e) Custom view creation
- a) Injection molding as it relates to adding draft, ribs, and best practices
- b) Welding design, experience for DFM/DFA
- c) Stamping and roll forming
- Proven experience as a CAD Designer or similar role.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, or equivalent.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Good mathematical and spatial reasoning skills.
