We are looking for an experienced mechanical systems engineer with expertise in product mechanical architecture, cell systems engineering practices to join our Cell Engineering Design team in Berkeley, CA. In this senior engineering position, you will be responsible for defining and implementing processes for the development of technical requirements and interface definitions used to inform mechanical, electrical, and control system designs that influence the cell design and performance.

You must bring a deep knowledge of systems thinking and a collaborative approach with other engineering groups and managers throughout the Product Engineering and Core Technology teams. This will be a part of your daily workflow, as this role will include a blend of technical development and cross-team coordination. In addition to augmenting the core mechanical design engineers, you will be providing the design a systems approach including coordinating requirements, DFMEA, interface definitions, issue resolution, electrical sensing and control system definition such that the cell sub-system integrates to the overall functional execution of the Energy Storage System being delivered at Form Energy.
