Role:Mechanical Engineer – Water Systems
Key Responsibilities:- Design and engineer cooling water and process utility systems.
- Develop P&IDs, flow diagrams, hydraulic calculations, and equipment specifications
. - Support pumps, heat exchangers, filtration, piping, valves, and water treatment systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot LCW/DI water systems, flow, temperature, pressure, and water quality
. - Lead maintenance, reliability, upgrades, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Coordinate with engineering, facilities, operations, vendors, contractors, and installation teams.
- Maintain engineering documentation and ensure compliance with safety and applicable codes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of mechanical/process/facility engineering experience
. - Strong experience with industrial/process water or closed-loop cooling systems
. - Knowledge of hydraulic and thermal system design, pumps, heat exchangers, piping, and P&IDs
. - Experience with water treatment, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and commissioning
. - Strong communication and project-management skills.
- PE License.
- Experience in semiconductor, national laboratory, accelerator, data center, or other high-availability facilities
. - Experience with EPICS/industrial controls, reliability-centered maintenance, and large utility systems
.
