Position: Maintenance Technician -  BFHP Hope Center Residence

Maintenance Technician - BFHP Hope Center Residence role at The John Stewart Company. This position performs a wide variety of maintenance duties including preventative, emergency, cosmetic and routine maintenance and regular inspections. The work emphasizes safe practices, sustained physical effort, troubleshooting, problem solving, attention to detail, customer service and time management. This is a PSH site with TCAC, LOSP, and NPLH.

Responsibilities
  • Schedules and responds to work orders, including following up with residents and management as needed.
  • Ensures preventative maintenance scheduling and performance are up to date.
  • Performs cosmetic and routine maintenance throughout the community.
  • Conducts unit turnovers and prepares for new move-ins, meeting deadlines.
  • Conducts move-in and move-out inspections.
  • Performs quarterly inspections together with PM.
  • Performs plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry and masonry repairs and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Coordinates, schedules and oversees vendor work, as necessary with Property Manager.
  • Be on-call for off-shift and weekend emergency maintenance coverage as scheduled.
  • Ability to function in an on-call capacity with reliable transportation.
Qualifications
  • Basic mathematical and computer skills with fluency in English. Bilingual is a plus.
  • Very good time management skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience performing the above maintenance tasks in an apartment development or comparable position.
  • Knowledge in REAC and other regulatory inspections is a plus.
  • On-call availability and reliable transportation required.
