Overview
The Technology Competitiveness and Industrial Policy Center (TCIP Center) provides scholarly, technologically informed, and data‑driven policy analyses and recommendations to accelerate technology advancement, manufacturing, and economic leadership in advanced and emerging technology areas. TCIP aims to be a trusted source of independent scholarly advice to policymakers and lawmakers on technology policy development, ensuring leadership in technology, research, and development, and advanced manufacturing for economic prosperity, national security, and societal well‑being.

- 40% Support Comprehensive and Effective Promotion Strategies: Support the implementation of broad‑spectrum promotional campaigns targeting diverse audiences, including preparing correspondence, promotional material, and media content. Utilize in‑depth knowledge of the professional field to ensure effective promotion, outreach, and engagement. Develop communication strategies to inform key constituencies about center programs, activities, findings, and recommendations.
- 40% Cultivate and Maintain Strategic Relationships: Build and sustain relationships with a variety of internal and external parties, including faculty, staff, research fellows, board members, and alumni. Leverage professional experience to foster collaboration and support for center initiatives, respond to inquiries, and provide necessary information to maintain strong connections with all parties.
- 10% Plan and Execute High‑Profile Events and Activities – Administrative Operations: Perform a full range of operational and administrative duties, including managing calendars, arranging and participating in meetings, and maintaining office space and facilities. Research various topics, gather relevant data to inform the center’s strategic plans, and keep the center leadership informed as necessary. Analyze and address diverse issues to enhance operational efficiency and program effectiveness.
- 10% Plan and Execute High‑Profile Events and Activities – Event Coordination: Organize and oversee meetings, events, and activities, either independently or in partnership with center leadership. Plan, implement, and staff events, recruit and assist volunteers, and ensure successful execution aligned with organizational goals. Apply experience, knowledge, and skills to ensure events align with center objectives and the effective engagement of key participants.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
- Thorough knowledge of basic concepts, principles, and procedures of building and maintaining effective relations with alumni, internal, and key constituencies.
- Thorough knowledge of the campus, its mission, goals, objectives, programs, achievements, infrastructure, and issues of concern.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications, tact, and political acumen to effectively represent the campus.
