SummaryThe Executive Director is responsible for overall leadership, operational performance, regulatory compliance, financial management, and resident experience across the full continuum of care. This role provides direct oversight of department heads and leads a team of approximately 200 employees.
The Executive Director ensures operational excellence while maintaining strong occupancy, financial performance, and a culture centered on service and accountability.
Key Responsibilities- Direct all aspects of community operations across IL, AL, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing
- Develop and manage the annual operating budget; monitor financial performance and address variances
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Hire, lead, evaluate, and develop department heads and supervisory staff
- Drive occupancy and collaborate on marketing initiatives to achieve census goals
- Maintain transparent communication with residents, families, staff, and community partners
- Oversee purchasing and capital recommendations
- Maintain updated emergency preparedness, fire safety, and disaster response plans
- Foster a high-quality resident experience and strong team culture
- Current California RCFE Administrator license required
- California Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Executive Director or Administrator in a CCRC or multi-level senior living environment (10+ years preferred)
- Experience leading large teams (200+ employees)
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing significant operating budgets
- Deep knowledge of California regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated leadership presence and operational disci
