ResponsibilitiesGuides, directs, and manages unit(s) charged with identifying, building, nurturing and maintaining effective relationships with alumni and employers. 20%
- Leads strategy for Employer Relations in support of all MBAs.
- Tracks industry trends, shares updates with students and staff, and adapts programs and staffing models to support rapidly changing needs of marketplace and student interests.
- Develops innovative approaches to support domestic and international student hiring.
Plans, develops and implements alumni outreach programs including regional programs. 20%
- Designs and implements a proactive strategy to build employer relationships across industry and geography.
- Develops and executes Hire Haas program, business development strategy and overall metrics and goals for Employer Relations.
- Tracks and actively leads outreach by team to employer partners for participation in rankings.
Builds / maintains excellent working relationships with key internal and external partners, typically at the highest level, including arranging meetings, events, campus leaders or other opportunities to showcase the institution and serving as a strong advocate for institutional goals and objectives. 15%
- Works closely with the Director of Corporate Partnerships to support engagement and fundraising strategies in partnership with Employer Relations.
- Works directly with Development & Alumni Relations, Marketing Communications and other key Haas Leadership.
Works closely with senior campus administration and other relevant contacts to develop and implement effective strategic plans that promote, advocate for and highlight achievements, activities and programs of the campus. 5%
Selects, trains, leads, directs, and motivates staff, taking corrective action as necessary. 25%
- Serves on the leadership team for the Career Management Group, actively contributing to group strategy & decision making.
- Supervises several others on the team, including Directors also in leadership roles.
- Fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation to achieve ambitious goals.
- Ensures operational excellence on the team in managing day-to-day processes and procedures, systems, events, and logistics.
Provides comprehensive budget administration. 5%
