The team translates complex AI safety concepts into clear, accessible narratives for policymakers, industry leaders, and the general public, while avoiding hype and fear‑mongering. It partners closely with researchers to build credibility and amplifies the organization’s voice across media channels and events.

In this role you will craft and execute a comprehensive communications strategy, guide a team of four specialists, manage media relations, and champion FAR.AI’s messaging across traditional and digital platforms. You will collaborate with research, events and policy teams, and represent the organization at industry events.

    • Lead rapid‑response communications to address misconceptions surrounding AI safety.
    • Partner with internal leaders and subject‑matter experts to sharpen public profiles, media and speaking skills, and platform presence.
    • Own the media kit and interview‑readiness that keeps FAR.AI top‑of‑mind for journalists.
  • Team Leadership & Coordination
    • Lead, mentor, and expand the communications team, including content specialists and social media experts.

    • Oversee external agency relationships to grow reach and visibility.
  • Content Strategy & Execution
    • Own the cross‑channel editorial calendar, aligning content to organizational priorities and key moments.
    • Own FAR.AI’s website as its primary brand surface, shaping content, structure, and presentation.
    • Ensure content resonates with diverse audiences, including technical researchers, policymakers, and the general public.
    • Lead the social media strategy, including organic posts and paid campaigns.
    • Oversee the newsletter, setting its editorial direction, voice, and growth strategy.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Brand Building
    • Oversee FAR.AI’s brand and protect its reputation as a trusted neutral source on AI.
