Imagine spending a year in the heart of Berkeley while helping bring timeless wisdom into contemporary life. Dharma College is seeking a motivated and purpose-driven Marketing Program Intern to join our community and contribute to a unique educational institution that has served students for more than 16 years.
Founded by Tibetan Buddhist teacher Tarthang Tulku, Dharma College explores the understanding of mind, self, and human potential through education, contemplative practice, and dialogue. Our mission is to bridge the wisdom traditions of Asia with contemporary Western inquiry, making these teachings accessible and relevant for today's world.
As a Marketing Program Intern, you will work directly with the Executive Director and our small collaborative team to help grow the College's national and international reach. You'll gain practical experience in digital marketing, newsletters, SEO, website management, social media, course promotion, event marketing, and community engagement while contributing to programs that make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
Responsibilities- Work directly with the Executive Director and the collaborative team to expand the College's national and international reach.
- Develop and implement digital marketing strategies, including newsletters, SEO, website management, and social media.
- Promote courses and events through online and community engagement initiatives.
- Support community engagement and contribute to programs that positively impact lives.
- Previous experience as a Marketing Coordinator or Director.
- Strong organizational, creative, and mission-driven mindset.
- Interest in communications, education, nonprofit leadership, contemplative studies, or digital marketing.
- Modest monthly stipend.
- Housing in downtown Berkeley.
- Food support and annual holiday breaks.
The internship is full-time, based at our beautiful 35,000-square-foot campus in downtown Berkeley, California, and designed as a one- to two-year program.
