We are seeking a Brand & Client Experience Manager to join our team at North Berkeley Wealth Management!
ABOUT THE FIRMWe are a mission-driven wealth management firm that provides financial planning, investment management, and strategic support for a diverse mix of client families. Since 2005 we’ve helped our clients protect and grow their assets in a way that accomplishes their goals and aligns with their values. At North Berkeley, we emphasize relationships and a deep commitment to the well-being of our clients, staff, and communities.
To learn more please take a look at:
ROLE SNAPSHOT- Owns our brand, website, and ongoing communications with our existing clients, prospective clients, and the broader community
- Manages our physical office experience, supports event planning, and coordinates business development
- A hands-on, individual-contributor role reporting to firm leadership
- Focused on strengthening our client experience and community-centric brand
THE ROLE
We want the experience of being a North Berkeley client, from our website to visiting our office to the small details in between, to reflect who we are.
This role will own the day-to-day execution of brand and client experience work, with clear collaboration with firm leadership on anything that shapes brand direction or firm-wide decisions. As you build trust and tenure with the team, there is room for the role to grow.
Unlike a traditional marketing role, this position is not measured by lead generation, pipeline, or traditional marketing campaigns. The majority of our new business comes organically, through referrals from existing clients and the professionals we work alongside. This role supports that organic growth by keeping our brand and client experience strong and our team informed.
You will work closely with our advisors and leadership team, and you will need to understand and respect the history and relationships this firm has built in the Berkeley community over twenty years.
RESPONSIBILITIES Brand & Communications- Serve as the day-to-day steward of the North Berkeley brand: voice, visual identity, and how we show up across our website, email, print, and social channels
- Maintain the firm website: content updates, coordinating with outside developers or designers as needed, and keeping it aligned with our brand and compliance requirements
- Draft and coordinate client and community communications (newsletters, announcements, firm updates), in partnership with advisors on content
- Maintain brand consistency and quality control across client-facing materials
- Own the day-to-day client experience for existing clients outside of investment and planning matters — the look, feel, and small details of how it feels to work with North Berkeley
- Manage the physical office experience: how the space feels for clients and visitors, and co-coordinate client events with our space
- Coordinate client touchpoints such as holiday gifts, milestone recognitions, and other relationship-building gestures
- Partner with advisors to identify and close gaps in the client experience
- Maintain and keep current our prospect and referral tracking (CRM), ensuring advisors have accurate, up-to-date information
- Coordinate logistics and follow-through for business development efforts led by advisors and leadership. This role supports and organizes, it is not responsible for generating leads independently
- Track referral relationships with outside professionals (CPAs, attorneys, etc.) alongside advisors
- Plan and coordinate firm events ranging from client appreciation events and educational events to internal team gatherings
- Manage event logistics: venues, vendors, invitations, and budgets
- 3+ years of experience in a brand, communications, marketing, or client experience role, ideally at a small or boutique professional services firm
- Demonstrated experience maintaining a website (content and coordination, not necessarily development) and brand-facing communications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high-touch client service mindset
- Comfort with event planning…
